Mr. Suwat Supakandechakul, President of the Thai Automotive Industry Association, and Mrs. Charoenrat Lerdananporn, Secretary-General of the Association, attended the opening ceremony of the CHANGAN electric vehicle manufacturing plant on Friday, May 16, 2025, at WHA Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate 4, Rayong Province.

Changan Auto Southeast Asia Co., Ltd. is one of China’s leading automobile manufacturers in terms of technological development and sales volume, under the brands Changan, Deepal, and Avatr. Driven by its global expansion strategy, the Vast Ocean Plan, along with Thailand’s supportive electric vehicle policies, strong infrastructure, and the solid relationship between Thailand and China, the company has established Changan Auto Southeast Asia in Thailand. This facility will serve as the first right-hand-drive clean energy vehicle manufacturing hub outside of China, with a production capacity of no less than 100,000 units per year, for both domestic sales in Thailand and as an export base to other regions.
